Golden days, joyful yoga and the warm soul of Madeira, all in one unforgettable 5-night retreat, created as a special collaboration between Natalie Nardi and Clare Harford, who share a love of thoughtfully crafted wellness journeys. Madeira holds a very special place in Natalie’s heart.
Her mother lived on the island, and she has treasured memories of holidays there over many years. With a deep connection to Madeira and the Portuguese language, she is thrilled to share the island from the inside, with plenty of time to simply be.
LOCATION
Madeira is a subtropical Atlantic island just off the coast of north-west Africa, where rich volcanic soil feeds flower-filled gardens, orchards and vineyards, and a gentle 22–26°C in July makes every day feel easy. Around two-thirds of the island is a protected nature reserve, and it rewards those who take their time. We stay in elegant Funchal, where green mountains meet the Atlantic.
ACCOMMODATION
A private family estate of around 200 years, exclusively ours and perched above Funchal with sea views. Wander the working vineyard and gardens, swim in the pool, practise in the yoga pavilion or linger on the terrace, with the old town just a 15-minute walk away. Nine characterful rooms, plus a library, piano and games room for unwinding.
FOOD
Fresh, vibrant and vegetarian, with seafood options, celebrating local produce and traditional Madeiran flavours. All dietary needs are lovingly catered for.
Our Madeiran-based Chef Iain McBride brings over 20 years in fine hotels and restaurants across Scotland and England, and a deep love of Portuguese cuisine shared with his Madeiran-born wife. Expect menus that blend traditional and modern flavours, created with real passion.
YOGA & THERAPIES
Start each day with joyful, uplifting yoga, breathwork and meditation, often in the garden. Wind down with restorative evenings of yin yoga massage fusion, yoga nidra and sound bath in the yoga pavilion.
In your free time, treat yourself to massage, reflexology, body scrubs, mud wraps and face sculpting treatments.
All levels are welcome, and no yoga experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to be present.
Friends and family who prefer not to practise are equally welcome to join – they can instead freely enjoy more rest with the pool, gardens and treatments at their own pace.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
Fly to Funchal, about 4 hours from the UK, and plan to land before 2pm to join the 3pm group van to the estate, 25 minutes away, for 4pm check-in. We begin at 5pm with welcome refreshments and a walk around the grounds, followed by our first yoga practice at 6pm.
On Saturday 10 July, enjoy breakfast at 9am before check-out at 10am, when the van leaves for the airport.
PAYMENT INFORMATION:
BACS transfer or cash only. A £500 per person deposit reserves your space, with 50% of the outstanding balance due by 5 March 2027 and the remainder by 5 May 2027. Please email us on submitting your booking form to confirm your space before paying your deposit. Bank transfer details are in the booking form.
